AirLift Extreme Mats feature a combination of polyvinyl chloride and butadiene-nitrile rubber that yields an expanded anti-fatigue product that exhibits the characteristics of (a) better chemical resistance, (b) improved surface durability and (c) greater resilience when compared to traditional vinyl foams.
Offered in black with textured surface option
MAINTENANCE
Apply rubbing alcohol [Isopropyl Alcohol/IPA] to the surface of the flexible PV product, wipe clean with a paper towel, and allow to air dry.
Where applicable, a mild detergent or soap used with warm water can also be used to clean flexible PVC products. Once clean, allow the material to air dry, either removing any excess water/moisture with an absorbent cloth, or shaking smaller mats and allowing excess water to run off the larger roll goods.
CAUTION: Flexible vinyl products are slippery when wet. They are not recommended for use in areas/environments that are constantly wet.
Ensure that both the mat and the floor surface are both completely dry before placing the mat back on the floor. If one or the other or both are not completely dry, the plasticizer can interact with nitrocellulose lacquer (used on older wood floors) or various floor waxes and other cleaning agents (used to clean tile, resilient vinyl flooring, and marble floors, etc.), in a process generally referred to as “lacquer mar”. This can cause the lacquer or wax to soften, resulting in a marred surface. To avoid such complications, ensure that both the mat and floor are completely dry.
DO NOT USE HEAT of any kind to dry PVC materials. Though inherently flame resistant, Polyvinyl Chloride products will burn when given enough exposure to open flame or other heat sources of sufficient temperature-regardless of type or amount of flame retardant(s) added to the formulation.
AVOID: Halogens, concentrated Oxidizing Agents, Ethers, Ketones, and Low-Molecular Weight Solvents derived from the Ether and Ketones families. They include (but are not limited to) TetraHydroFuran (THF), Methyl Ethyl Ketone (MEK), Methyl IsoButyl Ketone (MIBK) and Acetone. These chemicals will mar and/or destroy the surface of the PVC product (the Ketones), react with (Oxidizing Agents), or actually dissolve it (THF and other Ethers).
